If you work hard and hold yourself to high standards, you likely qualify. High-achieving does not mean perfect or wildly successful. It means you care deeply about your performance and your life, often to the point of exhaustion. Many clients come in saying they are not sure they belong, and most find quickly that they do. The intro call is the right place to figure that out.

Does Bravewood Behavioral Health take insurance?

Bravewood Behavioral Health is a self-pay practice. Dr. Sutton works with Thrizer, a service that helps clients determine their out-of-network insurance benefits and submit claims directly. Many clients have out-of-network benefits they are unaware of, and a free instant benefits check is available. FSA and HSA cards are also accepted through this program.

Does Bravewood offer in-person therapy sessions?

All sessions at Bravewood Behavioral Health are conducted virtually via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. You can attend from home, a parked car, or anywhere that is private and safe. This model was chosen intentionally to make high-quality specialized care accessible to busy professionals throughout New York and Pennsylvania without the additional friction of commuting.

How long has Dr. Sutton been a therapist?

Dr. Ashley Sutton began training in clinical psychology in 2014 and received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology in 2018. She completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, with a specialized focus in Substance Use Disorders. She has been practicing independently as a licensed clinical psychologist since completing her postdoctoral training.

What is Dr. Sutton's availability for therapy appointments?

Dr. Sutton currently offers therapy sessions during evenings and weekends, making it possible for professionals, physicians, and parents to prioritize mental health without disrupting their work schedule. Extended sessions are also available on weekends for clients who cannot commit to regular weekly appointments. A free 20-minute intro call is the first step to getting scheduled.
