Extended Sessions

Extended sessions (also called “therapy intensives”) are multi-hour therapy sessions designed to achieve treatment goals in a short period of time. Please note, intensives will be scheduled after in-depth screening to ensure this therapy modality is clinically appropriate for your needs.

You may benefit from therapy intensives if:

  • You can’t commit to weekly or biweekly sessions due to your schedule

  • You are struggling with PTSD or an anxiety disorder and would like exposure therapy

  • You are experiencing a major life event or transition and would benefit from extra support in a short period of time

about MY APPROACH

I’m not the kind of therapist who is going to just nod at you blankly and tell you what you want to hear. I will be your cheerleader, your coach, and your sometimes expletive spouting fan, but you’re always the MVP. We work together to get you win, and I have a whole bunch of acronyms in my therapy playbook we can use to do that (CBT, MI, MBRP, to name a few).

I clearly went hard in the paint with this metaphor, but please don’t ask me about actual sports, because I know almost nothing, haha.

GETTING STARTED IS EASY

Step 01

Schedule a free 20 minute consultation call. Exhale.

Step 02

Share your goals, ask any questions you have, and see if we would be a good fit. It’s normal to “shop around” for the right therapist, you know!

Step 03

Schedule first session! Get ready to see my cats on camera.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • A valid concern! I try to make scheduling as convenient as possible with evening and weekend hours. If you can’t commit to regular sessions, I offer extended sessions on weekends designed to give you more benefit in a short period of time.

  • Like many specialists, I do not take insurance. I DO, however, use a very helpful program called Thrizer that lets you pay with an FSA/HSA card and use your Out of Network (OON) benefits. Lots of people don’t even know they have OON benefits, and I can do a free instant benefits check for you.

  • I started training in therapy in 2014 and graduated with my doctorate in 2018.

  • I currently offer sessions in evenings and on weekends.

You DON’T have to do this ALONE anymore.
